Background:

Digitalization is rapidly expanding into all the sectors of the economy, including construction and architecture. The purpose of the conference is to provide a platform for discussion and coordination of activities internationally among researchers and professionals who are involved in the development and use of advanced information technologies in architectural design, construction, urban planning, design and art, and education.
It is becoming increasingly important to try and predict changes in the competencies that design and construction professionals should be equipped with in the context of new information technologies. Architectural and civil engineering education should be able to foresee what is coming on in order to produce competitive and competent graduates. The conference will provide an opportunity to gain an insight into the way forward for schools of architecture and civil engineering based on current experiences, needs of the business communities, national strategies, and academic aspirations.
